The first glimpse into the upcoming The Last of Us series and its video game remake have been revealed.
Naughty Dog Co-President Neil Druckmann has shared a preview of the upcoming The Last of Us series, starring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.

During Summer Game Fest on 9 June (Thursday), Druckmann hit the stage with Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, who voiced Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II games. They revealed that the two actors will also be appearing in the upcoming HBO GO drama series alongside Gabriel Luna, Merle Dandridge, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman, Jeffrey Pierce, and Anna Torv.

Rumors of a The Last of Us remake were also confirmed at the showcase. It is set for release for PlayStation 5 on 2 September, while a PC version is currently under development.
The remake, aptly titled The Last of Us Part I, will feature new enemy AI borrowed from The Last of Us Part II, 60 FPS performance, enhanced animations, and new combat options.
Different versions of the remake will also include bonuses. The Digital Deluxe edition will offer early unlocks in the game, like crafting, healing, upgrades, and more, while the Firefly Edition will include a SteelBook, display case, The Last of Us: American Dreams comic series, and all digital bonuses.
