The next installment in The Witcher video game series is now in development.
CD Projekt Red announced on Tuesday (22/03), that "a new saga for the franchise" is currently in the works, as part of its multi-year strategic partnership with Epic Games.
While it won't be The Witcher 4, the upcoming untitled game will be moving to Unreal Engine 5 from the studio's own REDengine in a collaborative effort with Epic Games' developers "to help tailor the engine for open-world experiences."

Details regarding the game's development time frame or release date have yet to be revealed.
Veteran The Witcher designer Jason Slama will be working as its Game Director. In a tweet, he announced that there are openings to join the team with the possibility of remote work.

The upcoming video game follows the release of The Witcher series on Netflix, which stars Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, and Anya Chalotra. The popular streaming platform has also renewed the series for a third season.
