NPR's intimate Tiny Desk concert series has made its way to Japan.

With Japanese singer-songwriter and musician Fujii Kaze as the featured artist for its inaugural episode, Tiny Desk Concerts is the latest live music broadcast to hit screens in Japan. The series is shot and recorded live from the NHK Broadcast Center in Shibuya, Tokyo.

NHK WORLD-JAPAN will produce its episodes to introduce viewers to Japanese artists in an intimate setting with acoustics to match the atmosphere. 

NPR Tiny Desk has featured the likes of chart-toppers Taylor Swift, BTS, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo, as well as rising acts Laufey and NIKI.
