Taehyun just sang 'Akin Ka Na Lang' for his Filipino fans.
At day 1 of TXT's ACT: LOVESICK in Manila, Taehyun serenaded Filipino MOAs (TXT fans) with a quick performance of The Itchyworms classic. Serving as a tradition at the Asia leg of the group's tour, the members have always sung a local song for their fans, previously performing Tulus' 'Hati-Hati Di Jalan in Jakarta and Billkin's 'Hook' in Bangkok.

Surprising not only fans but The Itchyworms themselves, the band's Jugs Jugueta says, in an exclusive interview with Bandwagon, "We heard about it last night! My niece was there at the concert and she sent me the video! It was a very 'kilig' moment for the band because Taehyun said 'I know this song is so famous in [the] Philippines'."
"We think that music is universal. It doesn’t matter what language you’re singing. I mean, we grew up singing 'Feliz Navidad', 'La Bamba', 'Angelina', 'Asereje', the Voltes V songs, and 'Gangnam Style'. We didn’t know what these songs meant, but we were moved by the emotions, and that’s why we still sang them! We hope TXT can make a Korean language version of 'Akin Ka Na Lang'! We would love to collaborate with them for that if they’re open to it!"
ACT: LOVESICK in Manila continues today (28 October) at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena. Manila comes as the final stop of TXT's world tour, which initially kicked off with a two-day concert in Seoul last July.
Update (28/10 10:54 PM): Seems like the rest of TXT has been bitten by The Itchyworms bug as Huening Kai and Beomgyu joined Taehyun in singing 'Akin Ka Na Lang' at ACT:LOVESICK IN MANILA Day 2.
