Unique is back with a new project.

After unveiling an hour-long track to ring in the new year, the Filipino multi-hyphenate artist announced that he will be mounting his first-ever solo art exhibit, titled Oblivion. It will be held at the Secret Fresh Art Gallery in San Juan on 23 January (Sunday).

Oblivion is an immersive audio-visual experience that will feature tessellation art by the 'Lamang Lupa' singer-songwriter, combined with ambient music produced for each piece. Attendees are asked to bring their own headphones to connect to their mobile devices to fully enjoy the exhibit.

"Ang Oblivion ay about sa pag-escape natin instantly dito sa external na mundo," Unique, who reveals the project was also a therapeutic tool to help him overcome his anxiety, shares in a statement. "Asahan niyo na isa ‘to sa magiging tool para makapag-transcend mula sa mga problema na dinadala niyo sa pang araw-araw. Nang magkaro’n naman tayo ng time para ayusin ang sarili natin sa panloob. Masyado na kasi tayong stressed at busy sa panlabas." 

He adds that with Oblivion, he wants to show his audiences that one doesn't have to stay within just one field or specialization. "Gusto kong magbigay sa kanila ng lakas ng loob para mahanap nila ‘yung natatago pa nilang potensiyal," he says.
