Universal Music Group (UMG)'s Spinnup has now arrived in Singapore.

A distribution service designed to help emerging independent artists get their voices heard by more music fans all over the world, Spinnup enables artists to distribute their music to some of the biggest music platforms—Spotify, Joox, Apple Music, and Deezer—and connects new talent with UMG's labels worldwide.

Spinnup Singapore already sees a host of talent using the platform, such as homegrown singer-songwriter Shye, who was among the 14 artists featured in UMG's quarantime anthem, 'Stay Home'.

To support its independent artist community and provide artists with resources for making music while staying at home, Spinnup has rolled out Creators United. The initiative has designed content specially for artists in lockdown, along with a Spinnup Community Facebook group and a series of livestream programmes. Spinnup will also be offering free single release for a limited time for artists in Southeast Asia, allowing them to distribute their music for free with the code SPINNUPSG

"We’re thrilled Spinnup has launched in Singapore and it’s already becoming a powerful asset to our A&Rs in discovering new talent. There are more artists than ever, who have immense passion for their music and desire to turn their dreams into reality," Spinnup Singapore Representative Andrea Lee shares. "Now Spinnup provides a platform for artists at the beginning of their career journeys, where their hard work will be heard by the right ears and by a team that understands music from all genres and languages."
