Universal Music Taiwan has welcomed William Hsieh as its new Managing Director.
The news came in an announcement today (28/9) by Universal Music Greater China (UMGC), a division of Universal Music Group (UMG). A seasoned industry executive, Hsieh will also serve as Senior Vice President of UMGC. He will be based in Taiwan and reporting directly to Timothy Xu, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Greater China.
Hsieh's career journey in the music industry started when he interned with Sony Music Taiwan way back in 1993. Throughout the decades, he has taken on roles in the likes of EMI Music and Sony Music Greater China, before diving into the tech industry.
