The finalists for the Singapore edition of Vans Musicians Wanted 2019 have been unveiled. This year, for the first time in Singapore, six finalists have been picked instead of five in previous years. The six finalists were chosen from 113 musicians who submitted their original music. Aside from the public votes, the finalists were also judged based on creativity, technical quality, and the deliberations by this year's judges: THELIONCITYBOY, weish [.gif], Amin [Decline/Generation 69], Clarence Chan [Bandwagon], and Elijah Kislevitz [Vans].
This year, the Vans Musicians Wanted Singapore showcase will be happening on Friday, 19 July, 7 – 10pm, at Parklane Shopping Mall, Level 8 Carpark. The finalists will be battling it out for the chance to perform at House of Vans Hong Kong 2019 that will be livestreamed on Boiler Room TV, get their music video produced and aired on MTV Asia, obtain cash prizes as well as Vans footwear.
Without further ado, here are this year's Vans Musicians Wanted Singapore finalists, in alphabetical order.
Bad Dod
BANDWAGON TV
Bad Dod enjoys the ironic side of life; it constantly points to the fact that it is a garage rock band with members who cannot afford a house with a garage. The groups combines catchy guitar riffs with anthemic chants with its first single, 'Outta My Brain', and is sure to being the same energy to the showcase.

Elsa Mickayla
Singapore-raised singer-songwriter Elsa Mickayla has performed in numerous events such as the Singapore Night Festival, Families For Life, Rock & Indie Festival, and SCAPE Collision. The vocal powerhouse's most recent releases are her singles 'I Got You' and 'Keep Me Guessin''

IANA
Independent singer-songwriter IANA will be taking the stage with her emotive voice and soulful sounds. The Singaporean singer is currently working on her upcoming debut album.

Pathetic Ordinary
Pathetic Ordinary is a five-piece pop punk/easycore band based here in the Lion City. Consisting of Hikmah, Kim, Haziq, Nathan and Kaiwen, the quintet aligns the world of heavy breakdowns with the classy realm of pop-punk.

Shirly Temple
Shirly Temple is an energetic, hopeful and passionate group of musicians that strives to succeed by allowing its music to reach as many ears as possible. The jangle-pop band lives for the priceless moments on stage that capture the audience's joy, and its performance at the Vans Musicians Wanted showcase will not be any different.

WaveBomb
High-energy duo WaveBomb will be delivering its brand of in-your-face rock 'n' roll as it tears the roof off Parklane Shopping Mall. Formed in 2019, the band is currently working on their first record and plans to tour Indonesia soon.
