Taiwan's 31st Golden Melody Awards (GMAs) announced its nominees yesterday, pitting some of the most recognisable names in Mandopop, including Wu Qing Feng, G.E.M., 9m88, for the highest honours in the Mandopop industry. Malaysian hip-hop artist Namewee, known for his Mandopop hit 'Stranger in the North (漂向北方)' which featured Wang Leehom, was also one of the nominees for this year's GMAs.

Due to COVID-19  restrictions regarding large-scale live events, the award ceremony has been postponed to October this year instead of its usual June affair at the Taipei Arena. Further details are slated to be announced by Taiwan's Ministry of Culture in the upcoming months.
