With their upcoming world tour, SB19 seem ready to embrace their status as a global powerhouse.

In less than a week, their newest single 'WYAT' has peaked at No. 1 on iTunes Chart in the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Qatar, and UAE. It has also charted in other territories, including Bahrain, Antigua and Barbuda, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Canada, Cambodia, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, and the United States. The single has also peaked at No. 74 on the worldwide charts.

"We're very thankful and overwhelmed, especially to our A'TIN. We didn't expect [WYAT] to top in various charts not only in the Philippines, but (in) different parts of the world," says Josh in a press release.

At this point, SB19 is seemingly poised to bring P-pop on a global stage. Their advocacy, however, is not only about promoting Filipino music worldwide but also about being a good influence on their fans and followers. In 2020, SB19 reportedly donated PHP 200,000 to the Autism Society Philippines (ASP) after triumphing at the 5th Wish Music Awards

In a press conference held today (13 September), Justin also shared that the band is also supportive of many endeavors, including scholarships even way before their viral rise and efforts in helping the environment.

"Actually, this year for my birthday, napunta rin po ako ng Antipolo, nag-hiking po, to plant trees sa Masungi (I went to Antipolo to hike and plant trees at the Masungi [Georeserve])," he shares. "Hindi lang siguro namin napu-publicly nalalabas pero po internally, paguusapan rin namin kung yung mga gagawin ba namin makakaapekto ba [ng maganda] (We might not publicly talk about it but internally, we also discuss if what we do have a [positive] impact.)"

In the same press conference, the P-pop boyband took the time to give more insight about the production of their latest hit as well.

"As a producer, it's really nice to have someone who can listen to what you're making and give their informed opinion about [it]," Pablo tells the media about co-producing the track with his brother Josue.

Stell also discusses how WYAT is all about reconnection and how they came up with a hand sign incorporated to their choreography to represent that. "Inisip ko agad, 'Pano ba ko magko-connect?' So naisip ko kaagad yung plug. Alam po natin kapag sinaksak natin, ko-connect po siya. So naisip ko, why not gumawa ako ng image about the plug or something connected?"

Ken also adds to this idea. "Yung mga ganung details kasi, kahit gaano kaliit meron talaga yung message na gusto iparating sa fans. As much as possible, gusto namin na meaningful lahat ng ginagawa namin. (...) May utang na loob kami sa kanila so we want to give back naman. (These little details, not matter how small, send messages for our fans. As much as possible, we want everything that we do to be meaningful. We owe so much to them so we want to be able to give back.)"

SB19 will be kicking off their world tour with their sold-out concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on 17 September.
