Homegrown rapper Yung Raja has again gone international, this time on the track ‘Qualified’ in Snoop Dogg’s newest album Snoop Dogg Presents Algorithm (Global Edition) on the 10th of December.

Raja is joined by the West Coast rap mammoth himself, Snoop Dogg alongside rapper Larry June and R&B singer October London. The track was produced by Nottz, who most notably has cooked up beats for the likes of Busta Rhymes, Ghostface Killah, and Pusha T. Here, Raja injects himself onto the old-school beat in the second minute on the track, weaving in bars in Tamil and English - “Singapura, this is for my city” spat Raja.
In a press release statement, Raja vocalises his disbelief: “I would’ve never in a million years thought of being on the same record as someone as legendary as Snoop Dogg.”

“I grew up listening to him just like every other fan of hip-hop. As a Singaporean Tamil boy this is definitely one of the most iconic moments in my life. I’m so grateful I get to share this with you. Big thanks to my Def Jam Recordings family for making this happen!

Snoop Dogg first released Snoop Dogg Presents Algorithm on the 19th of November, and The Global Edition features 15 newly-recorded verses from rappers on the Universal Music Group roster all over the world.
Earlier this year, Yung Raja's 'Mami' was featured on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show. Most recently, he released a collaborative track with Fariz Jabba titled 'And Then', and his first-ever solo EP in Mike.
