Biography
Since their inception late March 2010, the fury of what is known as A Town In Fear have been, and is always on the prowl of making and breaking barriers, and delivering what they set out to be at every other show. Comprising of members Linus(Vocals), Wayne (Guitars), Shao (Guitars), Farza (Bass) and Bruce (Drums), the band started out with what seemed to be something out of fun and passion, has moved into the direction of fast, melodic and aggressive no nonsense style of music. Their shows encapsulate the very essence of heavy and fast-paced music, stringing in influences from many hardcore/metal bands, yet A Town In Fear does not shy away from the humbleness of the softer side of the music spectrum. Lush melodic tunes of post-rock and perhaps even early punk can be defined in their structures, bringing you to dreamy landscapes and then blasting you back from the past into the present. Performing at the smallest venues like cafes and bars to perhaps bigger stages like Fort Canning Park Green, A Town In Fear seldom backs from a show. Promising that the audiences take away something more than what they bargained for. The band had the opportunity to open for and share stages with heavyweights like A Day To Remember, Every Time I Die, The Acacia Strain, The Chariot and Driven Fear just to mention a few.
