Biography
Emily 侯君秀 is an independent singer-songwriter from Singapore. Also a free lance voice actress, she has acted, written and sung on the opening and ending songs of the Japan-Singapore animation series, Gacha Gacha (がちゃ、がちゃ), titled 未來Mirai (The Future)” and “友達Tomodachi (Friend)” respectively. She has performed at various events including Singapore Street Festival, Singapore Toy & Comic Convention, COSFEST, library@esplanade and MAAD Sounds. In 2012, Emily released a Chinese drama series, Waiting <等>, in an unprecedented photo-audio format, for which she has written and performed on the opening and ending tracks “Waiting <等>” and “Time Travel <时间旅行>”. is a song, a web mini-series, an exhibition, and a fund raising community project for the Singapore Red Cross Home for the Disabled. Emily is also the creator, director, producer and co-writer of the series. She was featured and interviewed by Channel News Asia, The Straits Times, The New Paper, major radio stations YES933FM, Love972FM, UFM100.3FM, Live938FM and magazines I-weekly, U-weekly.
