Biography

Inspired by desolation and misery, Esther Lowless writes her music on her 18-year-old piano. Layers of instrumentation and vocal harmonies pile themselves upon the somber tinkering as she translates her stories into songs. Influenced by the likes of Massive Attack, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Russian Circles, her music is an interesting blend of tender piano riffs, heavy rhythms, and driving guitar lines. Emotive strings emphasize the melancholy in Esther Lowless’ music.
