Biography
Mobster Manila has been doing the live bar circuit rounds since 2001. While individual members have an eclectic taste in music, the band’s sound is heavily influenced by late 70s to early 80s 2Tone music and New Wave and incorporates this with punk ethos not only on stage but also in their lifestyle. Their influences include The Specials, The Beat, The Clash, The Selecter, The Untouchables, Social Distortion, Stray Cats, The Cure, The Smiths, Elvis Costello, Elvis Presley, Tony Bennet, and punks in their own right, the original Rat Pack, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years and took a hiatus in 2011. But you can’t really tie a rebel down forever can you? They’re set to come back as a power trio in October 2015 pumped like hell to make a killing on stage!
