Formed in 2014, The Quartermasters is Singapore's latest addition to the melting pot of musical acts coming out of the country island. Yet the band is uniquely global as it is local. Made up of members from Australia, South Africa and Singapore, the band is like an indie super group, bringing together the best musicians and creative forces who each have a strong track record in live performance and diverse song crafting. The band is fronted on lead vocals by Singapore born, Australian, Charles Jedidiah (formerly Charles J Tan) who has released two solo records since 2010, plays the resonator and the banjo. The music of the band bring together the diverse influence of each member, from post rock, to folk, to soul and grunge. The debut EP is a taste of that diversity, delivering 5 emotional tracks that run the gamut of varying colours and shades that take you on a journey. The EP is produced and mastered by The Susuwatari Brothers, who have also produced albums for Michaela Therese, TAJ, Giants Must Fall and many more.
