It was a big night for film and TV at the 81st Golden Globe Awards.

On 8 January (SGT/PHT), stars shone brightly as the Oppenheimer, Barbie, Beef, The Bear, and The Boy and the Heron won big at the 2024 Golden Globes. It was hosted by Filipino-American stand-up comedian Jo Koy, whose hosting became a topic of discussion on social media.

With eight nominations, Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer bagged five awards, including Best Director, Best Actor, Best Score, and Best Picture, while on the TV front, Succession took home the most wins. Billie Eilish's 'What Was I Made For?', from the Barbie soundtrack, won Best Original Song, Hayao Miyazaki's The Boy and the Heron won Best Motion Picture, and Emma Stone took home the trophy for Best Actress for her work on Poor Things.
