beabadoobee and Laufey haved teamed up for a new single.
On 20 October, the Iloilo-born British singer-songwriter and the Icelandic-Chinese jazz act unveiled 'A Night To Remember', a track that they had previously teased on social media.
The collaboration is a first for the two friends who have developed a mutual admiration for each other's work.

In a press statement, beabadoobee recalled how the track came together: "I’ve been writing with a lot of different rhythms recently, also with strings and nods to more classical sounds. Laufey is a great fit for this sound and we had started hanging out in London so we got in the studio together to work on music and try ideas with my producer Jacob Bugden. We also hung in NY on my tour and started becoming closer friends."
The 23-year-old also said that the track was made by fusing a "grand" sound and "sexy" lyrics.
Laufey, who called the team-up a "dream come true", explained the number's story: "There are so many songs about being rejected as a woman and this song is about being on the other side of the coin — having one great night then walking away. Reclaiming the narrative! We recorded it in London with Jacob, Bea’s producer, and added some finishing touches in LA with my producer Spencer Stewart."
Also known as Beatrice Laus, indie act beabadoobee made her debut in 2017 and has since become known for hits such as 'Coffee', 'Tired', and 'Glue Song'. In September of this year, she released her Live in London album, which was recorded during her concert at the Brixton Academy in London.
A vocalist, producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, Laufey finished as a semi-finalist on the 2015 edition of The Voice Iceland. She is currently on her The Bewitched Tour, which supports her 2023 second studio album, Bewitched.
