IU and BTS' V will star alongside each other in an upcoming music video.

The video will accompany a new track from the former, who has confirmed through her label, EDAM Entertainment, that she is currently working on a new album.

Slated to be released in the first half of 2024, the project will come more than two years after the launch of the 'Strawberry Moon' singer's EP, Pieces, in 2021.

According to Korean media, IU and V have completed filming their parts in the music video for the as-yet-untitled track ahead of V's enlistment into the South Korean military.

The news comes on the same day that the 'Love Me Again' act's label, BIGHIT MUSIC, confirmed that he and fellow BTS member RM would be "enlisting according to their respective procedures" in a Weverse statement. BIGHIT MUSIC also shared that Jimin and Jung Kook would be enlisting together.

Just this September, V unveiled his six-track solo debut album Layover along with a set of music videos produced by ADOR's Min Hee Jin.

In the same month, IU celebrated the 15th anniversary of her debut as an artist with the release of the cinematic cut of IU CONCERT : The Golden Hour globally. Filmed in 2022, the concert film follows IU as she becomes the first female South Korean act to perform at Seoul's Olympic Main Stadium.
