The 1970s Manila Sound-inspired track tells some of the experiences lead singer, guitarist, and keyboard player Jim Bacarro had in his early twenties. In a statement, he writes, "I think that's why it's so simplistic, because [at] that time, life was pretty simple, [so] you [would] desire something and you couldn't get it."
'Kapit' is Cheats' latest offering lifted from their upcoming studio album, which Bacarro describes as their "best album to date." He says, "This is where I think [the songs] mesh well together, noise, melody, harmonies, and everything that Cheats is about."
Cheats' upcoming forthcoming record is set for release soon.
