Further adding to the significance of the forthcoming album, the Mandopop star has enlisted the help of renowned Taiwanese-American visual artist James Jean for the album's cover artwork, creating an immersive blend of the artists' individual visual and musical expertise.
Taking inspiration from the paintings of German Romantic landscape painter Casper David Friedrich, the artwork is said to be a reflective, visual representation of JJ's musical and life journey thus far.
On the concept of the album artwork, JJ shared: "The two figures on the album cover are the same person, connected by a möbius strip. One character represents his own perception of his past self, and the other his perception of future self. The two are linked - the future self is reaching for the sky but is limited by the memories of the past. The past is searching for resolution, being guided and pulled by the ambition of the future self."
James' notable works include working on the official poster for the highly acclaimed comedy-drama film Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, as well as collaborating with BTS for their SEVEN PHASES exhibition held at the HYBE INSIGHT museum in 2021.
