Johnny & Associates and avex have teamed up to launch a new record label, MENT RECORDING.
The first two artists joining the roster are Kis-My-Ft2 who celebrated their 10th-anniversary last year, and Snow Man who are currently in their third year of activity.
Kis-My-Ft2 first debuted in 2011 with their single ‘Everybody Go’ which was released on avex trax. To celebrate hitting the milestone of a decade-long musical career, the J-pop act put out a compilation album entitled Best of Kis-My-Ft2 last August.

All of the groups releases so far – 28 singles, nine albums and one hits album – have charted at No.1 on Oricon’s
CD rankings.
Snow Man, on the other hand, officially debuted last 2020. They have since dropped a split release with SixTONES called D.D./Imitation Rain, debut album Snow Mania, and have made waves with their hit singles ‘Grandeur’ and ‘HELLO HELLO.’
The members of Snow Man are set star in a live-action feature film of Mr. Osomatsu this March.
Members of the two aforementioned bands will form a network with many other artists, aiming to transmit new kinds of music entertainment to fans all over the world.
Details of future activities and CD releases have yet to be announced but will definitely be something to look out for in the year ahead.
