SEVENTEEN, NewJeans, BTS, Jisoo BLACKPINK, serta pendatang baru Zerobaseone dan TripleS adalah beberapa pemenang besar dalam MAMA Awards 2023, yang dianggap sebagai salah satu ajang penghargaan paling bergengsi di dunia K-Pop.

Edisi tahun ini diadakan selama 2 hari, 28 hingga 29 November, di Tokyo Dome Jepang. Acara ini menampilkan LE SSERAFIM, &TEAM, Kep1er, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Lee Young-ji, ENHYPEN, TVXQ, Riize, JO1, INI, Xikers, BoyNextDoor, Treasure, (G)I-DLE, Zerobaseone, Ateez, dan Yoshiki.

NewJeans melanjutkan kebangkitan mereka, mengantongi penghargaan tertinggi tahun ini untuk Artist of the Year dan Song of the Year dengan 'Ditto', selain juga dianugerahi penghargaan Best Dance Performance - Female Group, juga untuk 'Ditto'.

Superstar global BTS melanjutkan rekor mereka sebagai Worldwide Icon of the Year, sementara karir solo Jimin, Jungkook, dan Suga juga diakui. Jimin dinobatkan sebagaiBest Male Artist, sementara Jungkook membawa pulang Best Dance Performance - Male Solo dan Best Collaboration dengan 'Seven'. Lagu Suga sebagai Agust D bersama IU, 'People Pt. 2', dinobatkan sebagai Best Rap & HipHop Performance. Grup ini juga memenangkan Best OST dengan 'The Planet', lagu tema mereka untuk serial Korea Selatan, Bastions.
