SOS have a lot in the works.
From a "new name" to a Japan tour to an upcoming album, the Filipino indie pop band are ushering in a new era of their music with so much life and power. The 'Seryoso' act most recently celebrated 15 years together, which comprised a lot of music, shows, and memories, but this is only the beginning.
SOS were recent guests on Bandwagon's first-ever episode of Bandwagon Conversations on Twitter Spaces. A digital spin-off of the music media's live discussions on all things music and beyond, Bandwagon Conversations dives deep into the stories of the music community, from your favourite local artists to people behind the scenes that keep things going. During their episode, the band's Seña, Anjo, and Andrew shared what it's like celebrating 15 years in music and what their new chapter entails.

Fresh from their stint at Singapore's ASEAN Music Showcase Festival, SOS shared that they're hoping to continue their growth outside of the Philippines, planning to share more of their music across the region— starting with a Japan tour this November.
"It's funny because Japan's always been a dream for us, even to just go on a vacation together. We've always thought that one day we'll get to play there so it's kind of cool that it's actually happening right now and we're getting to play there with The Itchyworms as well. If you mentioned this to 16-year-old Anjo, he'd never believe it [...], he'd never think we'd get to this point," said Anjo.

The band also walked us through the latest era of their music, starting with the name change. Formerly known as She's Only Sixteen, the band recently rebranded to SOS (pronounced as "sauce") which they share had been an idea that had been brewing for some time now.
SOS kicked off their new chapter with the release of their first-ever Filipino song, 'Seryoso' last July, which starred Filipino star Jericho Rosales and even featured a wicked dance scene—one that the band hopes to do again in the future.
'Seryoso' comes as the first of many projects SOS has underway, which includes a brand new album that they promise will drop in the first quarter of 2023.
