Squid Game to return for season 2: "A whole new round is coming"

Squid Game is coming. 

In an announcement made on 13 June, Netflix confirmed that the globally popular Korean drama-thriller will be returning for another season.

While little details are still known about season 2, Gi-hun or No. 456 and the Frontman are said to return, alongside the mysterious ddakji man in a suit. The show is also said to introduce Cheol-su, the boyfriend of Young-hee or more popularly known as the Red Light, Green Light Doll

Squid Game, which revolves around 456 contestants put into a deadly competition of children's games, first aired in September 2021. Since then, the show has become Netflix's most successful show to date, breaking over 100 million views in its first 28 days. It was even the most viewed title in every country Netflix features a top 10 list, totalling in 94 countries.
